The hotel's public areas have changed very little since the early 1900s, keeping their old colonial charm. Sir Montgomery stayed at the hotel in the 1940s and guests can still see the typewriter he used to write his memoirs. All 95 attractive rooms are comfortably decorated and although modernised, they still keep the charm of the "Art Nouveau" days.
