Despite its 3 star (superior) category, we regard the Hotel Paris as one of the best hotels in town, certainly the most distinctive - this Florentine jewel is located in the city centre very near the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Galleries. But what makes this hotel so special is its palazzo, which was built in the 16th century, in which we find that most of the hotel's rooms and halls still have the original medieval frescoes, decorations and stained glass windows. The Loggiata Terrace with its splendid views of Florence's major monuments, the Great Vault on the second floor and the Hanging Garden on the first floor all add to this hotel's artistic history and charm. Even so, the hotel was completely renovated in 2000.Buffet breakfasts are served in a room with a ceiling reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel and the bedrooms are distinctively decorated in the same renaissance fashion. However all bedrooms also feature all up-to-date modern conveniences. Book early to be sure you experience medieval Florence at the Hotel Paris!
